Revel Systems Automates Multi-tier Customer Billing & Payment with 360 Contract Billing for NetSuite

Revel Systems, a leader in the point of sale industry, was experiencing exponential growth that included many larger, multi-tiered customers. These large customers needed to receive one consolidated invoice for all of their ‘establishments’ that are associated by a common “Bill to”. Working with 360 Cloud Solutions, they designed a custom recurring billing solution that leverages 360 Contract Billing which provided them with this flexibility.

Revel needed to maintain individual subscription contracts at the lowest level of their customers’ billing hierarchies – the establishment. The solution allowed them to do this all within NetSuite at that granular level, while supporting the large data volume it required. It also allowed them to relate the parent customer who is responsible for monthly bills for many establishments to be paid using a single payment at the parent level, while retaining the individual invoices separately with each of their establishments.
The crux of the solution is triggered via the “Bill To Customer” field on the establishment customer records, which is in turn populated on their related contracts and transactions. Once all of the establishments rolling up to a common “Bill To Customer” have been billed, a single payment is then automatically processed. Finally, an email is automatically sent to a designated contact at the “Bill To Customer” containing a summary of the establishment invoices that were automatically processed and then paid from the consolidated payment.
