The Senior Solution Architect role is responsible for providing technical scoping, planning, and documentation of NetSuite development-related projects.

This position requires leadership and mentoring abilities, as the Senior Solution Architect will work with Developers and Solution Architects to deliver high-quality products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of the NetSuite SuiteCloud platform capabilities and potential enhancements. The Senior Solution Architect will work with executive leadership, consultants, and developers, providing the bridge between stakeholders and technical resources.

The Senior Solution Architect will be involved in both pre-sales processes wearing the subject matter expert hat to lead in the delivery of high-quality solution designs and documentation. You will develop an understanding of 360 Cloud Solutions’ vision, mission, and values to work collaboratively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Act as the lead for the translation of business objectives and requirements into NetSuite architecture (design, development, planning, and implementation).
    • Collaborate with Consultants and Business Analyst teammates, translating client requirements into software designs, technical approaches, and estimates.
    • Collaborate during the pre-sales process assisting with demos and pre-sales estimations.
    • Demonstrate a strong executive presence with the ability to interact with various executive teams.
    • Demonstrate the ability to lead customer discovery, including business process re-engineering.
    • Provide expertise regarding solutions, structure, growth, and internal process improvements.
    • Create architectural documentation and deliverables based on recommended solutions.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on system functionality and code-level detail.
    • Prepare and document testing requirements as well as test data.
    • Proactively research new NetSuite features and capabilities and interweave those new capabilities into solution proposals.
    • Work with 360 Sales to ascertain current NetSuite market trends and stay abreast of complementary training disciplines, i.e., PSA, Manufacturing, Subscription, etc.
    • Mentor workplace peers helping them to thrive in their areas of expertise.
    • Actively record time entries for work performed within the same day, with supporting memos that effectively communicate the billable work completed.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a major in either Information Technology, Software Development, Computer Science, or related technology program.
  • NetSuite ERP Consultant OR Administrator Certification.
  • NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer I OR II Certification.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 7+ years of direct NetSuite implementation and development experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in all facets of the NetSuite platform
  • Maintain a self-reliant work style with minimal oversight
  • Possess the ability to independently research and formulate potential solutions when problem-solving and troubleshooting complex issues
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and business-oriented acumen
  • Have experience with supporting SaaS/Web Services products
  • Take control of general knowledge of business systems and processes
  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver designs and prototypes in the form of:
    • Wireframe mock-ups
    • Business process flow charts
    • Detailed technical documentation
    • Spreadsheets and data-related tools
  • Expertise in most, if not all, the following areas:
    • NetSuite Implementation best practices
    • Core NetSuite configuration and processes
    • Knowledge of NetSuite add-on modules and capabilities
    • SuiteCloud Platform Development including:
      • Platform Capabilities
      • Optimal Practices
      • Limitations
    • General Development Concepts:
      • GIT version/source control
      • Web development programming concepts
      • XML and Free Marker
      • Webservices and REST Integrations
      • Object-Oriented programming concepts
      • Event-driven programming concepts
      • T-SQL basic query structures

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 8+ years supporting SaaS / Web Services products
  • Experience in a directly billable development/consulting services role
  • Experience supporting marketing/sales of technical product/service offerings
  • Experience/Knowledge of Site Builder and SCA.
  • Agile Software Development
  • Atlassian application stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)

Language Skills

  • Multilingualism is not required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen to the customer to determine actual business requirements by asking the pertinent questions
